The GAMMAS, Leading, Advancing and Motivating (G.L.A.M.) Mentoring Program is a
twelve (12) month program that provides a series
of experiences for a number of carefully matched
pairs, consisting of HMAA Alumnae members and
Junior or Senior undergraduate members from
respective Houston area SLG entities. Through
the mentoring relationship, the mentor has the
opportunity to coach, guide and share experiences
and knowledge which shall contribute to the
protégé’s growth. Mentoring opportunities will vary
according to the needs and interests of the protégé
and our program. Mentoring relationships require
time, commitment, and a clear plan of action.
The GAMMAS, Leading, Advancing and Motivating Mentoring
Program (GLAM) will develop a network of GAMMA alumni with
the purpose of providing active junior and senior members of
Houston area SLG chapters / colonies with networking opportunities,
professional mentoring, and career oriented opportunities. The
network will also serve as a medium for SLG to continuously empower
young, professional alumnae in further service to our sorority.
