Annual Self Defense Class in our sisters Sabrina Tolentino-Pina memory
HMAA hosts this self-defense seminar in honor of our sister Sabrina Tolentino-Piña whom was taken from us at such a young age. Dark Gift Combat has partnered with HMAA for 2 consecutive years and will continue to continue to raise awareness. All proceeds collected go directly to The Sabrina Tolentino-Piña Foundation.
Los Monologos de la Vagina de Eve Ensler
For the 2nd year in a row the HMAA is proud to present a benefit production of The Vagina Monologues on behalf of the V-Day Campaign. This past year over $3,000 were donated to our beneficiary La Rosa Family Services, 10% of the proceeds went to support the V-Day campaign.
Graduates Luncheon
HMMA hosts an anual graduate luncheon to celebrate our sister’s accomplishments from receiving a bachelors degree and/or masters degree.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
HMAA has been participating in this since it we started. Last year we won “Largest Non-Profit Team Award” with over 60 participants in our team.
HMAA Annual Thanksgiving Potluck
HMAA has hosted this event since 2008 with undergraduate and alumni sisters in houston. We come together, share food, and bring canned foods to donated to the Houston Food Bank.
Christmas Toy drive
HMAA in collaboration with HAA organized a professional mixer/toy drive. This past year, over 150 toys were given to our beneficiary Houston’s Navidad en el Barrio.
